Diolaze XL hair removal is a treatment for removing hair with laser. Diolaze XL laser hair removal device is FDA approved. The power of laser hair removal is based on thermal energy. During the treatment, the internal cooling of the device makes the treatment as pleasant as possible and well tolerated. What kind of results can be achieved with the treatment?
The thermal energy of the treatment head travels through the skin hair to the hair follicle. The hair follicle is heat treated with the help of a laser, which causes the hair follicle to atrophy and hair production stops. For hair removal, approx. 5-10 sessions are needed. New hairs in the growth phase may have to be treated every 1-2 years or as needed.
When the treatment has been repeated several times, the results are noticeable and the hair growth is clearly reduced. The end result is beautiful, smooth and soft skin.

What is included in the treatment?
The treatment includes a consultation for the Diolaze XL laser hair removal treatment, cleaning of the treatment area, treatment procedure, aftercare instructions and a relaxing and restorative Klinik Linnea moment. The total duration of the treatment is approx. 15-60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
What kind of problem areas is the treatment intended for?
Diolaze XL laser hair removal is suitable for almost everyone. The treatment can also be done on darker skin tones thanks to the versatile wavelengths of the device and the cooling feature. Therefore, hot heat cannot cause burns to the skin.
The treatment is suitable for Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV, so it is not suitable for completely dark skin tones. Our laser is not suitable for completely white hair, nor for patients using photosensitizing medication, and it is not suitable during pregnancy.
Are there any restrictions associated with the treatment?
The treatment is not recommended for pregnant women. Treatment is not performed if you have Herpes simplex, open wound/skin damage, skin cancer, stage 4 acne, warts, bacterial/fungal infections, solar keratosis, hemophilia or scleroderma.

Healing time
The treatment area is covered twice with a laser, after which the hair follicles fall out of the area after approx. 2 weeks. The treatment is repeated when hair growth is visible after approx. 5-8 weeks. With the number of treatment sessions, hair growth slows down, so the number of treatment sessions is reduced.
The treated area may have slight redness, heat, slight swelling and tenderness after the treatment.
Maintenance of results
For hair removal, approx. 5-10 sessions are needed. New hairs in the growth phase may have to be treated every 1-2 years or as needed.
Aftercare instructions
Avoid saunas, swimming, sunbathing and sweating for 2 days after the treatment.

How to get ready for the treatment
Before the treatment, the treatment area should be shaved 1-2 days earlier. Removal of skin hair by shaving is necessary, otherwise the treatment cannot be done. For five weeks before the treatment, avoid sugaring, waxing or plucking skin hairs. Also, avoid products that tan the skin for two weeks and cosmetics containing oil on the day of the treatment. The treatment cannot be done on very tanned or sunburned skin.
