What is the treatment?

Vasculaze is a safe, precise and fast Diode laser treatment for vascular lesions on the face and body. The Vasculaze laser ensures optimal effectiveness by precisely targeting thermal energy to the pigments present in blood vessels.Blood from the treated vessel is directed to a healthy vein in the body, causing the veins affected by the laser to atrophy and disappear completely. Strong contact cooling increases comfort during the treatment.

With Vasculazella we can treat:

-Spider bumps (angioedema)

-Vascular fibroids (haemangiomas)

-Expanded superficial blood vessels (telangiectasias)

-Port wine stains and other benign vascular lesions.

What are the problem areas for which the treatment is intended?

Vasculaze laser treatment uses Diodelaser 1064 nm (nanometre) technology to smooth the skin in as little as one treatment without pain or long recovery times. The treatment gets rid of troublesome blood vessels on both the face and body. The laser targets blue and purple pigments in deeper veins. For the treatment of superficial red veins, we use Lumecca IPL light pulse treatment.

Vasculaze can be used to treat spider veins, fire veins, leg veins, telangiectasias and angioedema of the face/body.Larger varicose veins are not suitable for treatment with Vasculaze. Patients who have problems with visible veins and want to get rid of them through an effective cosmetic treatment are good candidates for Vasculaze. The treatment is suitable for all skin types.

What is included in the treatment?

The treatment includes a Vasculaze consultation, skin cleansing, treatment, aftercare cream, aftercare instructions and a relaxing & restorative Klinik Linnea moment. The total duration of the treatment is approx. 30 min. in total. The price also includes a follow-up visit, if necessary, if the blood vessels do not leave during the first treatment.

Are there any restrictions on the treatment?

The treatment is not recommended for pregnant women. Do not treat if you have Herpes simplex, open wound/skin lesion, skin cancer, stage 4 acne, warts, bacterial/fungal infections, solar keratosis, haemophilia or scleroderma. If you have any questions about the suitability of a treatment for you, you can contact the Klinik Linnea staff directly. If you are taking a blood thinner, please skip the morning dose on the day of treatment. Avoid taking cod liver oil products for at least a week before treatment.

Healing time

Reddening of the skin may occur in the first few hours after treatment. Bruising may occur when treating larger blood vessels. Surface blood vessels will be treated immediately on treatment and will then appear as a purple tint, which will last for about two weeks. After these reactions, the skin tone immediately evens out. In rare cases, there may be a risk of local burns associated with the treatment.

Aftercare instructions

Avoid touching the skin on the first day. Direct sun exposure should be avoided for at least one month after treatment. Protecting the skin from the sun is also very important to maintain the results of the treatment. Klinik Linnea recommends year-round use of sunscreen with a minimum SPF 30. As well as reducing the risk of future skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow down the ageing process. We recommend avoiding sweating and taking a sauna for the first 2 days. In addition, drinking alcohol during the first 24 hours after treatment may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. Make-up can be applied to the treatment area after 1-2 days. Retinol products and strong skin care products (AHA,BHA) are recommended to be avoided for the first 5 days after the treatment.

Are there any restrictions associated with the treatment?

The treatment is not performed if you have active cold sores, Accutane/Roaccutane or a similar drug course. The treatment is not performed if your skin is burnt/frostbitten at the time of the treatment. If you have any questions on the page about the suitability of the treatment for you, you can contact Klinik Linnea staff directly.
